It is a pleasure to welcome you to the first issue of the 2015 STCSN E-Letter volume, which is dedicated to the emerging and highly interesting topic of Science 2.0, and is guest edited by Rene Kaiser, Elisabeth Lex and Peter Kraker. The topic is gathering considerable interest, since it enables new forms of measuring, understanding and making accessible the results of scientific work. This issue covers a good variety of interesting problems in the area.
With the help of the Guest Editors, we are working hard to turn the STCSN E-Letter into an open high-quality and rapid communication channel for research developments in the area of Social Networking. Our community keeps growing and our STCSN e-letter is expected to reach a diverse audience ranging from researchers to business stakeholders, yet always with a focus on social networking technologies. All the e-letter articles are freely accessible and citable, making the e-letter ideal for publishing articles and technical reports on recent and emerging topics in the area of Social Networking.
We welcome two types of contributions:
All contributions are peer-reviewed to ensure high standards of presentation quality and technical soundness. If interested, feel free to get in touch with Rene Kaiser, Yuhong Liu and myself to further discuss the scope and format of the articles, and other details of the editorial process. We are also constantly looking for good reviewers, so if you are interested, let us know.
Apart from e-letter contributions, we always welcome participation and contributions to different roles within the STCSN. If interested, please get in touch!
