It is a pleasure to welcome you to the second issue of the 2015 STCSN E-Letter volume, which is devoted to the emerging and highly interesting topic of impact of social media on TV consumption, and is guest edited by Mario Montagud, Fernando Boronat, Miguel Garcia-Pineda and Omar Niamut. The topic is gaining interest, since social media have arisen as an equally important mass communication medium, along with mainstream news media, such as TV and press, and are now actively shaping the consumption and content of TV. This issue covers a good variety of interesting problems and opportunities in the area.
With the immense contributions of the Guest Editors, our aim is to turn the STCSN E-Letter into an open high-quality and rapid communication channel for research developments in different areas and topics of Social Networking. The community keeps growing and our STCSN e-letter regularly reaches a diverse audience ranging from researchers to business stakeholders, yet always with a focus on social networking technologies. The STCSN e-letter articles are freely accessible and citable, making the e-letter ideal for publishing articles and technical reports on recent and emerging topics in the area of Social Networking, after a fast peer reviewing process.
So far, we have been accepting two types of contributions:
All contributions are peer-reviewed to ensure high standards of presentation quality and technical soundness. If interested, feel free to get in touch with Rene Kaiser, Yuhong Liu and myself to further discuss the scope and format of the articles, and other details of the editorial process. We are also constantly looking for good reviewers, so if you are interested, let us know.
In addition to the e-letter contributions, we welcome participation and contributions to different roles within the STCSN. If interested, please get in touch!
