Dr. Thiruvathukal also serves as the Editor in Chief of Computing in Science and Engineering (a publication of the IEEE Computer Society and American Institute of Physics) and Associate Editor in Chief of Computing Now. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1995.
